I wanted to create a wearable technology for performance and creative expression. So, lets make some funky shoes. Synthesizer shoes to be exact. Using an embedded microphone, an FHT library, LEDs, and a pair of chunky high-heeled booties, I created a visual audio analyzer for your feet. The heels light up each column of LEDs depending on volume as well as pitch to visually represent the sounds, steps, and vibrations around the shoes. Thus, creating a wearable technology that can be utilized for musical and visual performance and expression.
